The practical course focuses on hands-on training for students to acquire skills in preparing and serving a variety of espresso coffee beverages, such as long black, cappuccino, latte, macchiato, and mocha, using commercial espresso machines and grinders.

Additionally, the curriculum includes instruction on customer service and order-taking, selecting and preparing coffee beans and milk, and proper equipment cleaning and maintenance. After successfully completing the assessment tasks, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit “SITHFAB025 Prepare and serve espresso coffee,” recognizing their proficiency in the field of coffee preparation and service.
