Description
This accredited course offers individuals an opportunity to learn the art of making delicious coffee while honing their skills in the hospitality industry.
It caters specifically to students facing barriers to training, allowing them to obtain their barista ticket and acquire professional techniques, making them cafe-work ready. The training is subsidised by the NSW Government, subject to eligibility criteria. Throughout the course, students will cover various learning outcomes, including an overview of coffee history, understanding blends and single origin beans, coffee extraction, dosage, and stretching milk.
Participants will also learn essential techniques such as adjusting grind settings, creating common coffees found in Australian cafes, and maintaining coffee machines in a clean and efficient manner. Additionally, basic coffee art and food hygiene practices will be taught as part of the curriculum, providing students with a well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of coffee preparation and safety standards.
